Update on Casa Grande Police Department Sgt. Tate Lynch — photo, career highlights and account information

CASA GRANDE, AZ — The City of Casa Grande Police Department continues to mourn the untimely death of Sgt. Tate Lynch.

Lynch was injured during a SWAT team training exercise yesterday (Thursday) afternoon in Florence. He was participating in a rappelling exercise when he fell approximately two stories from the Pinal County Detention Center in Florence. He was air-lifted to Scottsdale Osborne Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries yesterday evening.

A memorial fund has been created to assist Lynch's family during these difficult times. Those who would like to make a financial donation may do so at any Wells Fargo Bank under Sgt. Tate Lynch's name. The account number is 8453628300.

Lynch was a highly decorated officer with the Casa Grande Police Department. Below is a brief list of his accomplishments with the Department as well as points of interest.
